CHILD ON CHILD ABUSE INCLUDING HARMFUL SEXUAL BEHAVIOUR

KCSIE states: ‘All staff should recognise that children are capable of abusing other children (including online). All staff should be clear about their school’s or college’s policy and procedures with regard to child-on-child abuse’

DSLs are expected to take on a lead role in the management of incidents of Child on Child Abuse. This can be an overwhelming responsibility and this training module is designed to help DSLs navigate this complex issue. The training will include:

CREATING A ZERO-TOLERANCE CULTURE

PREVENTING AND MINIMISING THE RISK OF CHILD ON CHILD ABUSE

CLEAR EXPLANATION OF TERMS SUCH AS CONSENT, HARASSMENT, VIOLENCE ETC

RESPONDING TO INCIDENTS INCLUDING REPORTS, RISK ASSESSMENTS, REFERRALS AND RESOURCES

This training is ideal for Senior Leaders and DSLs and is designed to encourage DSLs to feel empowered and skilled in order to respond effectively and proportionately to any incidents of Child on Child Abuse. Upon completion of this half day training course, delegates will receive a Toolkit and certification that the course has been attended.
