Online Safeguarding In Schools - 1 Day

AUDIENCE: DSLs, Governors, Headteachers, “e-safety champions”, Senior Leaders.

An interactive day focussing on how schools can assess and manage children living in an online world, by engaging pupils, parents and staff. Course content includes:

  • Ensuring CONTENT is appropriate: Strategies to encourage children to access appropriate content online. Ensuring this in reflected in the blocks, filters and monitoring provided by school and by equipping children and their parents with the skills to keep safe online.
  • Ensuring CONTACT is only made with appropriate people: Ways to teach children about the risks that are posed by contact with inappropriate people, how to prevent this and what to do if unsafe contact is made.
  • Ensuring CONDUCT is safe: Looking at behaviour that is exhibited online by both staff and pupils, the risks this can present and how to manage and minimise risks through policy, procedure and practice.
