Wendy Rice

My name is Wendy Rice and I have over 20 years experience of working with children and families. I am a qualified Social Worker and have spent the majority of my career working in front line Child Protection roles including being an Advanced Social Work Practitioner. I am a caring and compassionate person and I am passionate about supporting individuals whether that be through work, my family or friends. I am calm and logical at times of crisis and a creative thinker. I relish the opportunity to help people find solutions to challenges they may be facing. I have strong family values and these values guide me in both my professional and personal life.

I love the seaside and spend any holidays in Cornwall, my favourite place to stay is a tiny fishing village called Coverack where ‘time stands still’. I enjoy spending time with friends and catching up. I love visiting tea rooms and country pubs. I enjoy reading and craft type activities which help me unwind.

I am so thrilled to be part of the wonderfully supportive team of Schools safeguarding and look forward to working and meeting you in your individual settings.
